The UCF Metropolitan Center for Regional Studies—more commonly known as the UCF Metro Center—was established in 2004 and serves as a bridge between the university campus and the community. The University of Central Florida plays a major role in the definition and development of the Central Florida region.
Leveraging resources including research and faculty expertise the UCF Metro Center works with the community as a neutral partyto address matters vital to the quality of life enjoyed by central Floridians.
The UCF Metro Center looks at issues and topics of relevance across the Central Florida Region stretching from Tampa, to Daytona and to Brevard. As an educational tool, its efforts focus on community awareness and understanding of issues that affect us all.
